This would be the beginning of my love letter to my dragon fruit smoothie! It’s so good and I love it so much!
Dragon fruit is one of my favorite fruits and my totally go-to-fruit here in Indonesia (visited Indonesia for 3 months, yeayh!). It’s just something about that gorgeous pink color and that sorbet feeling when you’re eating it.
Dragon fruit itself does not have a very strong taste. It is mild, slightly sweet and tangy, juicy and it has a crunchy texture which can resemble kiwi. It is perfect to eat as it is! However, when it is made alone in smoothies the flavor tends to be very weak. In this edition of dragon fruit smoothie I have brought it to life by mixing it together with honey pineapple, a squeeze of lime and beautifully added cashews and coconut milk for delicious creaminess.
